Job description / Role
• Monitors work progress at site, plans sub tasks in details; understands and coordinates civil, architectural and MEP works requirements; analyzes and evaluates performance against an established schedule.
• Analyzes acceleration options (eg multiple shifts, weekday overtime, weekend work) to recommend the best cost option and offsetting against risks with different approaches
• Establishes, implements and manages a project control system, processes, procedures and tools in the areas of scheduling, cost and document control
• Assists in establishing / delivering formal reporting arrangements on project progress for the Employers / engineers, Main Office Team (MOT) and Projects Management Team (PMT). Provides site schedulers with day-to-day hands-on support, guidance, troubleshooting, and satisfying program requirements.
• Manages projects, including managing multiple priorities against internal and external timelines and deliverables, including integrating project schedules with earned Value Management.
• Ensures full compliance with company policies and governmental sectors’ processes and procedures, with focus on the implementation of these processes throughout the project's life cycle.
• Provides support to bids, bid reviews, integrated baseline reviews, and internal projects
• Attends site business management and progress meetings to define the scheduling needs and works with management on resource allocation needs.
• Supervises Document Control and IT departments.
Requirements
• Engineering related degree. Primavera Project Management System P6v7. Understanding of technical and legal matters.
• Superior written and verbal communication, report writing, detail oriented, problem solver, active listening, research, analytical, multi-tasking skills. Supervisory and interpersonal skills.
• Implemented and managed a project controls system on large construction projects, preferably on both vertical and horizontal mixed-use. PMO and Executive reporting and management systems. At least 15 years international experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years as a Projects / Program Controls Manager.
• Excellent organization, adaptability, responsiveness, sound judgement, cooperative, leadership, able to work both independently and in a team. Work under pressure.
