Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives: To plan, direct, coordinate & lead research, statistics & knowledge management activities across Addaera

Main responsibilities:
• Manage and lead the research projects to meet Addaera’s objectives ensuring appropriate quality control
• Establish research goals and priorities by collaborating with clients & internal departments
• Conduct research & monitor trends on target studies relating to social, education, women rights, socio-economic trends and awareness, human rights and immigration & labour regulations etc.
• Develop and implement sampling plans; conceptualize, operationalize and test measures
• Develop design structures basis which qualitative and quantitate research can be conducted
• Audit and review (in some cases also prepare) hypotheses, executive reports and detailed reports to provide comprehensive analytical insights for clients
• Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. Prepare and review project reports for presentation to Management and clients
• Oversee statistical operations relating to research studies
• Ensure research projects are completed in time & within the allocated budgets
• Manage day-to-day project-related inquiries, ensuring timely response and insight
• Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and recommendations during presentations or business reviews and by providing value-added analyses and response to special requests
• Ensure a robust knowledge management centre and system is in place
• Continually look to improve research methods, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and support teams with different problems
• Play a significant role in long-term planning and attend regular meetings with management around fiscal planning
• Build, manage and maintain relationships with partners, alliances and third parties e.g. Industry and Education
• Identify and pursue sponsorship opportunities along with partnership department that will enhance Addaera’ s research objectives
• Set and agree individual goals for all direct reports and evaluate individual performance providing regular feedback and coaching in line with good people management practices

Requirements

• Master’s degree in any discipline, preferably social sciences or research related fields
• Minimum 10 years’ experience of which 5 years’ similar industry experience in the UAE
• Extensive knowledge of research methodology for challenging social issues
• Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches and insights

Desired start date: July 2017
Probation: 3 - 6 months
Working Hours: 7-8 sunday to Thursday
Travel requirements: Occasionally
Gross monthly base salary: AED 28 k inclusive of benefits
