Head of Sales - Maritime Equipment & Services - Middle East

A multinational industry leader selling its service portfolio into the Maritime & Shipping industry in the MEA region.

A Head of Sales role, leading a sizeable sales team driving business in the maritime & shipping industry across the Middle East. A fantastic opportunity for a passionate team leader and strategic thinker to lead a team and increase sales revenue via tactical business development in the region.

Reporting to the Regional Director - MEA, the Head of Sales will have the following responsibilities:

• Driving the development of the organisation's regional strategy in the region and successful implementation
• Creating new business opportunities in the Middle East region by identifying potential profitable areas and setting up commercial agreements
• Ensuring stakeholder satisfaction (internal and external) and ensuring smooth operations
• Setting up a business structure and KPIs to monitor sales performance of subordinates as well as identification of areas to focus on
• Leading, nurturing and developing a sales team to ensure personal development leading to improved revenue generation and commercial ability
• Adopt a hands-on approach to tackling business problems and lead from the front

Requirements

• 10-12 years of work experience in a Sales/Business development capacity with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Successful track record of selling into the shipping/maritime industry in the Middle East region (or currently based in Europe in a regional role covering Middle East)
• Proven experience in managing and building sales teams in the past
• High commercial and business acumen of the region and economic trends of current and past
• A strategic thinker who can create/tailor business strategies, create a RTM strategy and deliver along with a team
• Bachelors' Degree from a recognised University with an MBA as highly desirable
