Job description / Role

The Role
As the technical lead of the network encryptor product, you will provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to development and product teams in implementation of security strategies and designs, participate in building the vision and roadmap, and build and delivery of DarkMatter's network encryption appliances. You will own the technical definition, program planning, and delivery of these products.
In this role you will:
- Directs the definition of architectural standards for the design and deployment of solutions
- Supports the product and engineering management teams on resource planning, delivery schedules
- Collaborates with partners, developers, quality assurance, and product management to provide technical direction on designs
- Generate new ideas and new ways to do business,
- Facilitates design sessions and architectural reviews and ensure timely and effective design of solutions
- Interacts with clients at the design stage, as required
- Work across software, hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams. Act as the expert point of contact for these teams in discussions with management, product, and client teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product development experience, with examples of successful product launches
- Previous experience working with network security and/or hardware encryption appliances or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Experience in design and delivery of combination hardware and software projects
- Network security experience, including L2/L3 network protocols
- Working knowledge of OS/Kernel hardening and security policy management/enforcement
- Working knowledge of Public Key cryptography and related protocols including key exchange, key management, data signing, HSM as well as symmetric encryption algorithms and implementations
- Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle and practices such as threat modeling, security reviews, penetration tests, and security incident response
- Experience in high assurance/high security product design
