Head of Supply Chain

Job description / Role

A startup Hospitality/FMCG Food company is currently looking for a Head of Supply Chain to lead a new team in Dubai to set up functions, increase efficiency and reduce costs. You must have experience working with frozen goods and ideally Ice cream.

As a Supply Chain Head, your responsibilities include:
• Managing the day to day flow of products in ensuring business requirements are met
• Strategic supply chain planning, looking at what is required of the Supply Chain going forwards
• Communicate with other departments within the trading team
• Experience with frozen food related goods is essential
• Understanding of how to set up and manage modern supply technology
• Working with production team and warehouse based staff
• Collaborate with Logistics to understand peak bottlenecks and constraints through different parts of the operation leading to alleviate either through flow management or partner relationships
• Manage and develop a team to perform with excellence
• Ensures delivery and quality performance of suppliers

Requirements

• Preferably Masters/Bachelor’s degree holder in related field
• 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management within the GCC
• Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills
• Motivation and accuracy for working with computers and numbers
• Good connection with local Dubai based suppliers
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Passionate and driven individual
