Job description / Role
Job Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing and managing all supply chain activities, including procurement, logistics, inventory/warehouse management, and import/export control. Develops and implements supply chain strategies to support business objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
* Develop and implement a supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
* Identify risks and opportunities, implementing strategies accordingly.
* Ensure cross-departmental alignment of supply chain activities.
Procurement:
* Develop and manage a strong supplier network.
* Implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
* Negotiate favourable contracts and monitor supplier performance.
* Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Logistics:
* Develop logistics strategies to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
* Manage inbound/outbound transportation and carrier negotiations.
* Optimize inventory levels and oversee warehousing and distribution.
* Ensure compliance with customs and import/export regulations.
Supply Chain Optimization:
* Improve processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Leverage technology for better supply chain visibility and performance.
* Integrate sustainability principles into operations.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
* Recruit, train, and manage talent effectively.
* Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
* Master's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
* 15+ years of experience in procurement and logistics management.
* Strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
* Experience in the aviation industry preferred.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems
* Reports To: CEO
