The Company

A leading Global Manufacturing company based in Abu Dhabi are looking to recruit a Head of Treasury.

The Role

The Treasury Head is responsible for managing the development and execution of the company's financial policy, offering necessary resilience on liquidity management, maximising the EBITDA to free cash flow conversion, driving M&A and investments activities, and managing financial risks and treasury operations. The Treasury Head is also responsible for developing relationships with external financial intermediaries such as banks, ratings agencies, and funds. In addition, this role is responsible for providing oversight and managing the coordination with the Project Finance team particularly on joint activities related to capturing financial deal structuring and managing financial stakeholders.

The Treasury Head is also responsible for monitoring staff performance and providing continuous feedback and support to foster Directorate improvement efforts.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

* Establish and maintain treasury policies and procedures to oversee the organisation's treasury operations
* Manage debt by monitoring debt levels and rates, performing financial covenant testing, and managing financial intermediaries
* Manage and expand Banking relationship and conduct a periodic review of banking needs
* Regularly review bank accounts and its authorised signatories list for better controls
* Implement and maintain robust treasury management system and payment solutions for an automation of treasury operations
* Regularly review and update bank mandate to counter parties; Coordinate with the General Counsel to update the Bank Mandate, relevant Banking Board minute extracts and KYC for the company and its authorised officials including board members
* Regularly conduct liquidity assessment and propose suitable revisions to liquidity policy in line with changing business needs
* Monitor cash and liquidity including daily cash position, banking transaction services, and short-term funding or investment requirements
* Conduct a regular review of overall working needs and work closely with business teams to optimise overall working capital needs
* Support in improving EBITDA to cash flow conversion ratio and initiate necessary workstreams to avoid any working capital blockage, review of capex plans and reducing the finance costs
* Develop financing policy and negotiate its implementation with external stakeholders including banking/ financing partners
* Coordinate with the Project Finance team to support the preparation and delivery of common activities and processes (e.g. stakeholder engagement)
* Manage investors and rating agencies including monitoring and forecasting rating agency and debt investor metrics
* Monitor the balance sheet through financial covenants/stress test and review reports for external and internal stakeholders
* Review the Cost of Capital framework and input to an annual/adhoc review for system planning and project evaluation
* Develop financial risk management policies, including market risk management such as interest rate risk, currency risk, commodity risk, and counterparty credit risk management in consultation with the ERM function
* Support the development of the insurance policy in line with guidelines and input from the ERM function and ensure compliance
* Optimize insurance premium costs and manage counter party risks with reference to insurance companies
* Contribute to the development and execution of department strategy, policies and procedures in alignment with the functional objectives taking into account the changing needs of the business
* Manage the activities of direct reports to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner, in line with the section plans, and policies and procedures
* Provide input into the preparation and consolidation of the function's budget and advise line management on risks and opportunities

Requirements

The Candidate

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science or related field
* Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science or related field preferred
* Professional Qualification in Finance or Accounting is required (e.g. CA, ACCA, CFA, FRM, ACT)
* Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in treasury and cash management or related role of which 2-4 years in a managerial position, preferably in a:
* Diverse/multi-cultural business industry (obtained from medium to large organisation)
* Multi-national company

Salary and Benefits

63,000 aed per month plus Family benefits
