Job description / Role
Do you have an eye for design and sophisticated taste in home furniture display and interior design? Do you enjoy working and managing multiple stores and working closely with VIP clients? Then this exciting role is for you!
We are working closely with one of our clients, a strong home-grown and respectable name in luxury furniture retail and exquisite home décor. The role is based in Dubai however may need constant travel to other emirates to lead, supervise and execute showroom displays.
Key responsibilities include:
• Create and maintain the visual concept and presentation of multiple showrooms
• Manage store design workflow
• Ensure all projects are prepared for approval, coordinating with key stakeholders to allow input on plans on a timely basis.
• Train and develop visual rollout team
• Review and analyze store reports to make effective visual decisions
• Partner with store manager and production team to ensure presentation was compelling
• Provide ongoing management and staff training in visuals and merchandising standards
• Coordinate and perform assigned materials management tasks, including: Placing orders with the vendors; Inventory Control; Accepting incoming orders; and Maintain inventory
• Evaluate profitability for in-season sales, financial and inventory performance and suggest adjustments as needed
• Conduct comprehensive sales, stock, and underperformance analysis and recommend action to capitalize on opportunities
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Fine Arts or any relevant qualification to merchandising and furniture design
• At least 7 solid years experience in visual merchandising within luxury furniture is highly preferred; retail background is desirable
• Excellent visual awareness, creative ability and driver of innovation
• Good leadership skills and project management skills
• Has ability to execute under accelerated timeframes and quickly adapts to change in priorities
• Must be able to follow projects from inception to completion if needed
• Work independently and successfully communicate and engage with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Creative teams
• Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills.
• Proven leadership skills to hire, develop and retain top talent.
