Head of Warehouse and Quality Africa and Middle East
We are looking for a Head of Warehouse & Quality for our facility in Middle East, based in Dubai. He/She will join the department Warehouse Management Europe (ASOWE).
• Training, supervising and appraising staff & Service Provider
• Cooperating with Service Provider
• Maintaining statistical and financial records
• Planning
• Ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met
• Managing budgets
• Administering stock control
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
• Operating mechanical and IT systems
• Liaising with customers and other departments
• Ensure that the products and services of Satair Group meet both external and internal requirements, including legal & customers compliance and the customers’ expectations and put all relevant measures in place
• Support the training and surveillance of local inspectors and certifying staff in Satair Group
• Focal point for any operational quality issue within Dubai
• Implement, monitor operational quality procedures, standards and/or specifications. Monitor associated process performance.
• Support internal and external audits in Dubai
• Launch, control and follow up corrective and preventive actions using Learn methodology
• Support the optimization of quality management systems
• Be a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality
• Directing objectives to maximize profitability whilst maintaining compliance
• Leading and driving local Quality issue resolution and continuous improvement projects
Requirements
• University degree within Supply Chain, Economic Engineering
• Advanced knowledge on warehouse processes
• Advances knowledge in Quality Management
• Working experience with commercial or technical background
• SAP 3 knowledge
• Basics knowledge in statistic and bookkeeping
• Hands-on and pragmatic way of working
• Customer oriented
• Communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to translate strategy into operational objectives
• Ability to work with different cultures and hierarchical levels
• English speaking (negotiation level), other languages will be a real advantage
• Willingness to take business trips approximately once or twice a year worldwide and on short term notice
