Job description / Role
Responsibilities:
- Setting MBC Studios Health and Safety production policy, guidelines, and processes
- Guiding and assigning tasks to a group of inhouse Health and Safety officers and freelancers
- Ensuring the correct implementation of policies and procedures
- Identifying areas of weakness and assisting the team in preparing and creating documents/processes required for the effective implementation.
- Developing and implementing the OSH Management system at MBC Studios
- Risk Management
- Management of Contractors
- Emergency Management
- Operational Controls
- Incident Notification, investigation, and Reporting
- Inspection and Audit
- Document Control and Record Retention
- Resource Provision
Requirements
- Occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a relevant bachelor's degree is necessary. NEBOSH IG, CSP, CIH, and CSHM certificates are also valued.
- Experience in occupational health and safety management is essential in film and TV production - minimum 10 years.
- Expertise in risk assessments, hazard identification, and risk mitigation is essential. This includes the ability to review and apply control measures to ensure safety and compliance with requirements.
- Communication and leadership abilities are necessary for lead consultants. You should be able to clearly communicate health and safety information to clients, management, and staff. Strong leadership is needed to create and implement health and safety programs, train personnel, and foster a safety culture.
- Health and Safety Lead Consultants must be able to assess complex circumstances, identify potential problems, and propose solutions. Incident investigations, safety performance assessments, and continuous improvement activities are included.
