Job description / Role
Established Architectural Consultancy looking to recruit a Health and Safety Inspector for a multi-storey mixed-use project on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring employees and contractors are working in a safe environment. The role involves inspecting the construction site and advising on overall compliance in maters of Health & Safety in accordance with Company policy and relevant statutory provisions.
Responsible for conducting regular, formal site inspections and carrying out inspections as directed by the Project Manager. Ensuring that record of inspections are documented for all activities and plant equipment. Delivering and completing reports and notifications to the Main Contractor for the project and all incident / accident reporting and to conduct daily frequent site visits as required. Review and approve sub-contractor risk assessments, safety statements and Method statements and ensure they are available on site and enforced.
Requirements
• Health and Safety Cert, Diploma or Degree is essential
• 5+ years experience
• Candidates should have a high attention to detail, be well organized and demonstrate a commitment to strict safety standards.
• High level of English
