Job description / Role
JOB ROLE: <br><br>Knowledge on unit layout, number of patients, types of patients and their requirements. <br><br>- Recognize the complications and handle emergencies during the course of treatment. <br><br>- Assist RN in providing nursing care to all patients <br><br>- Provide personal hygiene to the patient. <br><br>- Assist RN in the nutritional and elimination needs of the patient. <br><br>- Assist RN in proper positioning and back care every second hourly for all bed ridden patients <br><br>- Assist RN in the ambulatory care patients according to their needs. <br><br>- Accurate and proper report to the Team Leader/ Head Nurse/ Supervisor <br><br>- Actively participate in the disaster management process (Identified Codes) in the hospital. <br><br>- Follow strict infection control practices. <br><br>- Timely dispatch of various samples. <br><br>- Ensure safety, comfort, confidentiality and privacy of the patients. <br><br>- Provide patient and family education on room orientation. <br><br>- Explain patient rights and responsibilities <br><br>- Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of the equipment. <br><br>- Ensure availability, working condition and effective use of equipment in the unit. <br><br>- Escort patients to and from various departments. <br><br>- Take proper care of patient's belongings. <br><br>- Ensure neat, clean and noise free environment to the patient and family. <br><br>- Report any untoward incident immediately to Head nurse/ Supervisor or on duty supervisor and submit the written statement in the same shift. <br><br>- Immediately report any safety and security issues at the work place to the concerned Head of the department/ Supervisor. <br><br>- Maintain all records and reports in the unit.<br><br>Aster DM Healthcare Limited is one of the largest private healthcare service providers operating in multiple GCC states and is an emerging healthcare player in India.
