About Healthcare

Mubadala is helping to address the region's most pressing healthcare needs through a network of specialist, world-class healthcare facilities while enhancing the overall capabilities of the sector. We are supporting the development of a commercially sustainable private healthcare sector in the UAE. Through partnerships with leading international medical institutions, our network of specialized facilities is enhancing regional healthcare capacity, addressing the UAE's most pressing healthcare needs, and reducing the need for patients to travel overseas for complex care.

The Challenge

Mubadala Healthcare is a business unit within Mubadala Investment Company and is seeking to deploy capital in two areas:

- Create an international (non GCC) private equity portfolio of directly owned investments. Mubadala Healthcare will acquire significant minority positions across the majority of healthcare sub-sectors with a focus on North America, the UK and Europe.
- Helping to address the GCC's most pressing healthcare needs through the creation of specialist, world-class healthcare facilities, building regional capability and stimulating the overall development of the sector.
- You will support the growth of the team, the development of its strategy and the execution of transactions and investments across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

- Conducting simple investment screening cases.
- Conducting due-diligence and research activities to provide valuable and reliable insight that supports the business function in making decisions on deals execution.
- Conducting financial analysis and valuations, and building basic financial models, with guidance from the senior team members, to support deal execution activities and ensure the validity and correctness of the model and underlying assumptions and drivers.
- Supporting the development of material and reports as guided by the senior team members in order to support the deals.
- Conducting regular meetings with internal teams to provide updates and information, and summary of research findings.
- Support in tracking and periodically reporting on portfolio performance.
- Prepare reports including but not limited to sector outlook and trends, economic market and dynamics affecting the sector, competitive landscape, and the implications on the business function.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and experience

- A Bachelor degree in any discipline
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar role in a top-tier investment bank or private equity firm, an accounting firm focused on due diligence (e.g. Transaction Services team) or audit/finance experience from an accounting firm or from within a corporate company.
- CFA qualification is a plus
- Previous exposure to complex projects under significant time pressure.
- Strong quantitative skills and basic financial modeling capabilities.
- Excellent business English. Effective communicator with excellent written skills
