Employment: Full Time

Role:
- Be accountable and responsible for the interface of all Airport Project Activities between the COE and the defined Regions
- Airport operations activities are to include estimating, Airfield Design compliance to relevant standards and project management throughout the pre-project and project delivery phases for Medium to Large projects
- To ensure projects are scoped and staffed appropriately, timelines are feasible and technical requirements can be met
- To ensure estimates are accurate and account for risks and opportunities in the bid
- The role will involve upfront liaison with the sales team to help sales shape the project as it is developed
- The role will report solid line into the Global Airports Operations leader

Responsibilities:
- Maintains customer’s satisfaction at acceptable levels and promptly resolves customer issues
- Interface with the regional Commercial manager with regard to Project financial performance for medium to large sized projects. Monitor financial performance on a monthly basis and reviews estimates versus actual performance
- Interface with MP when needed
- Interface with the Regional Logistics team to ensure the availability of tools, equipment, and materials required while maintaining and controlling inventory levels
- Participate in estimate review process prior to quotation delivery to ensure labour estimates are correct and that the work is achievable from a technical perspective. Liaise with the regional commercial manager to assist with subcontracts, and where applicable, are complete and documented
- Ensure operations estimates are accurate and account for the risks and possible opportunities in the scope
- Review and comment on ORR (per Honeywell policy)
- Ensure TRR is inclusive of all risks and is distributed for comments
- Ensure that an AFL experienced Project Manager and Airfield Design manager are available for Medium to large Sized AFL projects
- Guidance of the Regional HAIL Management to ensure an adequate pool of resources is available. Assist the regional team with selection of Sub Contractors and advise training needs early
- Conduct the HPD management process, conducting performance appraisals, and providing coaching, training, career planning and development of project resources for sub ordinates / reportees
- Build effective teams committed to organizational goals, foster collaboration among team members and between teams
- Develop strong relationships with Sales and Service Leaders so as ensure effective sales to operations handovers, optimised utilisation of resources, and maximize pull through of service and projects
- Lead the local teams to implement change management processes
- Control the HSE resource for AFL projects. Ensure that all work is carried out applying a ‘Safety First’ regime. Ensure that all AFL specific Lock Out Tag Out processes are rigorously adhered to
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training, equipment/vehicle maintenance and facilities improvement. Manage safety program for assigned field operation
- Ensure fire and security industry codes and standards are upheld
- Ensure that Honeywell SOPs are in place and adhered to
- The Position will require an extensive travel commitment

Requirements

- BS degree or equivalent technical or management experience required
- 10 years experience in a senior team leadership role
- Good understanding of AFL Projects and product applications
- Thorough knowledge of Projects field operations and financial processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team and have a solid track record of delivering medium complex projects (>$5 - 10M)
- Financial Skills - The ability to understand financial data at contract level and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved
- Operational Analysis – The ability to obtain relevant information on operational issues from multiple sources, think broadly about those issues and recognize trends/possible cause-effect relationships
- Decision Making - The ability to make considered and effective decisions and take clear action to address issues
- Execution - The ability to mobilize resources and develop and implement action plans / control mechanisms to achieve desired results and deliver on commitments
