Employment: Full Time

Paradigm International is currently seeking experienced Hook-up Engineer to join our client’s production team in Dubai Office, this is a contract opportunity(06 months extendable contract).

Our Client is a leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services for offshore and subsea field developments worldwide. They deliver fixed and floating production facilities, pipelines, and subsea systems from concept to commissioning to help oil companies safely produce and transport hydrocarbons. Core area they are in Offshore, Subsea Solutions and provide Concept to Commissioning(EPCI).

Accountable: Senior Hook up Engineer

PRIMARY TASK OF POSITION
- Provide disciplined Hook-up support in both a Greenfield & Brownfield Project environment in line with PMT expectations on HSE, Quality and Technical needs.
- Liaison with Operations, Pre-commissioning, Design, Engineering and Quality groups to obtain full scope understanding.
- Contribute and activity participate in constructability reviews, plans to drive design optimizations.
- Review and assist with the development of implementation Hook-up estimates.
- Prepare project execution sequence and logic (WBS).
- Identify carry over works and escalate to line management.
- Support and contribute the development of construction work packs.
- Develop a man hour summary via the task sheet / job card module.
- Develop material / equipment requisitions aligned to task / job cards, provide guidance on package requirements. (i.e. Bag & Tag details.)
- Provide 3C experience and support during the implementation phase.
- Identify and support the timely delivery of documentation, fabrication, materials, personnel and vendors aligned to Project delivery schedule.
- Monitor and report implementation related changes and growth during the course of the project.
- Support site surveys during the engineering development phase.
- Travel to facilities to assist project team and coordinate execution aligned to project schedule.
- In conjunction with offshore manager / focal point assist with the alignment of handover priorities.
- Assist pre-commissioning Engineers with effective use of personnel to help achieve further handover post .
- Liaise with Functional Management / PMT to ensure best practice and innovations to optimize delivery against schedule milestones are being achieved.
- Monitor and record punch list status and escalate accordingly to line management.
- Maintain accurate documentation against procedural compliance. (Daily Reports / As built)

RESPONSIBILITIES (in addition to Primary Task)

Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Participate in asset incidents / hazards investigations and communicate findings to PMT or line manager.
- Ensure execution risk and mitigations are identified within work pack.
- Support day-to-day HSE performance during construction to ensure leading indicators are achieved.

Quality:
- Deliver high-quality project deliverables aligned to specification.
- Provide accurate input into Project execution schedules that reflect optimum, realistic and measurable man hours.
- Minimise site queries through quality front end Hook-up planning and preparations.
- Ensure the correct selection of Tools & Equipment.

Cost / Budget:
- Monitor and maintain Project processes within agreed budget constraints (Work Pack level).
- Recognise and be aware of CONQ policy / impact.

Schedule / Reporting:
- Manage project 3C processes within agreed scheduled constraints against agreed milestones & KPI’s.

Leadership / Commitment:
- Take ownership of system handover and communication progress with Pre-Commissioning.
- Know roles and responsibilities of reporting lines.
- Maintain teamwork at all levels within project and peer groups.
- Maintain a high level of project ownership throughout all phases of work.
- Actively participate in the promotion of innovation and continuous improvement measures to limit wastage and unplanned impacts.
- Ensure seamless handover of onshore developed work pack to offshore site team.
- Building Effective Business Relationships:
- Express ideas clearly and concisely by application of strong problem solving and fault finding skills.

Customer Focus:
- Take responsibility for customer satisfaction both internal and external and support Client requests.
- Seek to respond positively to customer feedback.

People management and development:
- Support project by identifying high potential team members for future promotion.

Technical / Systems:
- Support the needs of PMT over that of the short-term personnel gains.

Other:
- Develop company’s capability and relationship with Client, to build future business opportunities.
- Achieve the set Goal & Objectives aligned to project / business needs and ensure periodic reviews and final signoff is completed

- Work as part of a team and or independently during the life cycle of Project.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising standards.

Selection Criteria - Desirable:
- Ability to develop robust 3C procedures, and deliver aligned to Project Plans.
