Hostess role.

The Hostess greets all guests with genuine enthusiasm and warmth upon arrival.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Informs guests of their wait time.
• Shows guests to their table and offer drinks and bids farewell as they leave.
• Consistently monitor quality of food & beverage being served.
• Performs light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glass and menus, and ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked and kept orderly.
• Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints / queries satisfactorily.
• Responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards in the outlet and upkeep of all service equipment.
• Responsible for all service preparations before, during and after the service.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / certificate from a recognized university / institute.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of host experience in a full service, moderate to high volume cafes / restaurants.
• Able to work extended working hours and during weekends as well.
• Guest service and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be upbeat, outgoing & positive.
• Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.
• Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
