Job Description
- Greeting Guests: Welcome guests upon their arrival and ensure a positive first impression.
- Reservation Management: Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of available space.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Seating Guests: Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and assist in seating arrangements according to the reservation and seating plan.
- Communication: Collaborate with the waitstaff, kitchen, and management to coordinate efficient and smooth operations.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and dining section.
- Assisting with Events: During events or busy periods, hostesses may be required to assist in organizing and coordinating special functions.
- Up-selling: Promote special offers, menu items, or promotions to increase revenue.
- Knowledge of the Establishment: Stay informed about the restaurant's menu, specials, and events to provide accurate information to guests.
- Handling Reservations: Manage phone and online reservations, confirm bookings, and maintain an organized reservation system.
- Adhering to Policies: Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to customer service and hospitality.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is usually the minimum requirement. Some employers may prefer candidates with vocational training, certificates, or degrees in hospitality management or a related field.
