Job description

Main duties and responsibilities:

Conduct daily briefing for housekeeping attendants.

Conduct daily inspection of employee grooming.

Inspect all guest rooms, corridors, and pantries on a daily basis to ensure the highest standard of cleanliness.

Conduct on-the-job training for all housekeeping attendants.

Maintain effective employee relations.

Check and maintain equipment and machines used.

Prepare job orders and coordinate with engineering for follow-up.

Ensure special attention is given to VIP rooms.

Attend daily briefing with EKH/AEH in housekeeping.

Report any sick, irregular guest, and any stranger on guest corridors to the housekeeper and security office immediately.

Proper handover and takeover of the incoming and outgoing shifts to be handled well.

Report all lost and found items to housekeeping.

Prepare discrepancy report for the front office.

Conduct fumigation for the rooms and floors.

Follow up on "Do not disturb" rooms.

Prepare inventory for room linen.

Notify housekeeper of any damage caused by guests.

Check and follow all maintenance reports if the work is incomplete.

Water and change all flowers as per schedule requirements.

Ensure that all flower arrangements look pleasant before delivery to the rooms.

While inspecting guest rooms and other areas, maintain an eye for detail.

Daily physical inspection of occupied, vacant, and checkout rooms to be done at 1300 hours.

Make sure maid trolleys are parked well in the guest corridors and while cleaning rooms, the trolleys must be parked properly at the guest room entrance.

Monitor the key issue no. 3 / entering/leaving a guest's room is followed by the room attendant.

Be responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, property, and hygiene of guest rooms, corridors, and service areas.

Oversee the work of PA attendant.

Handle all service matters to guests in the station.

Be responsible for supervising the activities of housekeeping attendants.

Check all check-out rooms and guest rooms.

Be fully aware of the excellence of the day.

Maintain proper grooming at all times.

Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.

Be aware of the daily activities and have product knowledge of all the hotel facilities.

Qualifications

University degree in any field. Minimum 2 years in a similar role with a five-star hotel.
