The Company
Our client develops and operates a portfolio of power generation and desalinated water production plants. With a large presence across MENA, Southern Africa, Southeast Asia operating across 10 countries, this role will be based at their Dubai office.

The Role
To lead the People and Culture activities for the BD function and be the first point of contact with the BD Business Unit for all people and culture related requests and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Activities
* Contribute to the definition of the P&C key inputs to the overall AP strategy as well as to setting the objectives and the budget for the P&C enabling function at AP Group level
* Provide the key HR-related inputs to the BU BD business plan
* Propose the objectives for the HR enabling function of the BU BD in coherence with to the overall P&C enabling function strategic priorities and the BU BD strategic plan
* Contribute to the definition of the P&C enabling function organization at Corporate level
* Propose the HR organization, the required profiles, staffing, job descriptions and KPI's for the BU BD
* Allocate resources to P&C/HR initiatives within the BU BD and manage the workload
* Propose and implement continuous improvement programs for the BU BD HR function
* Contribute to the conception and roll out of change and business quality programs at Corporate level and propose specific programs for BU BD
* Manage the HR resources in the BU BD HR function: nomination, objective setting, development, appraisal, …
* Develop and nurture the pipeline of talent within the HR function
* Contribute to the definition of Group wide policies, standards, frameworks, methods, systems for P&C enabling function
* Establish, in coherence with Group wide guidelines, the specific BU BD policies, standards, frameworks, methods, systems for the BU BD HR enabling function
* Contribute to all HR key activities related to the Key Talent Pool
* Drive the HR key activities for the corporate BU BD staff as well as delocalized BU BD staff
* Ensure the efficient and effective provision of HR activities by the HR expertise centers and HR admin & employee services units


Competencies and Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, psychology, or any other related discipline
* CIPD or SHRM or any relevant certification is highly preferred
* A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Human resources field with a minimum of 5 years as HR BP in a complex matrixed organization
