Charterhouse is working exclusively with an outstanding global brand within the Entertainment, Hospitality and Tourism arena who is looking to recruit a strategic HR Director to drive its business growth across the region.
The principal responsibilities for this role will be to develop a strategic HR plan that will help the business drive forward its growth, which will be achieved by working through manpower requirements vis-a-vis business plans with line managers, generating and implementing resourceful means to increase headcount and managing a plan for new employee induction and orientation at all levels. You will facilitate the performance management process as well as implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure better control over costs and quality. The role will be pivotal in implementing HR and training practices appropriate to an organization which values diversity and work-life balance.
To be considered for this role you will be Degree educated and have ideally worked in a Retail, Hospitality or Entertainment environment for 10-12 years in a similar role, preferably with experience working in the UAE or the Middle East Region. You will possess excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills to deal with stakeholders at all levels. You will be knowledgeable of current and upcoming UAE employment legislation and have impeccable organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure, while managing a large workload and meeting deadlines. Ideally you need to be someone that understands that an organization’s people are the backbone to its growth and that HR is key to the success of expansion. Professionalism, confidence and the ability to work in a strong team culture will be the key to winning this job. This role will require travel across the region as well as Europe and the ideal candidate will be an Arabic Speaker.
