Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

On boarding and Induction:
• Facilitate the on-boarding of new hires, ensuring each candidate has a positive hiring experience
• Liaise with PRO, Office Administrators in all matters regarding immigration and mobilisation requirements
• Fully manage the starter process, updating and distributing induction manuals and other relevant documents, ensuring new starters are fully informed of COMPANY’s practices, policies and all relevant information

Talent Management and Engagement:
• Assist in the development and execution of Talent Management programs to supports the operations strategy, ensuring a steady stream of the best and brightest
• Execute engagement surveys and implement action plans based on the results of the survey
• Staying informed and current with the employment market, especially in regards to new and upcoming talent

Employee Engagement:
• Support the region in creating a culture of employee engagement and inspired leadership
• Focus on measuring the employee engagement of the business units and take actions necessary to improve it.
• Implement action plans based on the results of the global engagement survey

Employee Relations:
• Provide pragmatic and consistent guidance and advice to managers on employee relations, grievances, disciplinary and performance issues
• Monitor employee morale; support and coach line managers on the Company’s Disciplinary and Grievance Processes to promote fairness, consistency of approach and employee satisfaction and productivity
• Advise and support Line Managers on best practices of People Management, and related activities such as Performance Management, Learning and Development needs, and Employee relations

Training:
• Conducting a training needs analysis and developing a training plan for the region

General and Common Responsibilities:
• Work with the business to champion and communicate the benefits of performance appraisals while managing the activity and outcomes according to the business cycle
• Work closely with wide variety of departments, assisting line managers in understanding and implementing policies and procedures.
• Provide pragmatic and consistent guidance and advice to managers on Employee relations, grievances, attendance, disciplinary and performance issues
• Provide support and assistance on a number of HR related projects: Talent Management, Employee Surveys, Annual salary and bonus review process, Internal/External HR Audits and all other globally driven initiates
• Assist with relevant administrative responsibilities including but not limited to: Absence management system, Employment Contracts, HR Reporting, Personnel files, and HR documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR from a reputable University
• At least 8-10 years’ experience in a similar level role in the GCC
• Must have an Engineering Consultancy experience
• The ability to manage a heavy workload, with a close attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills, including experience of using packages like PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• A customer-focused approach, possessing impressive communication skills and the capabilities to meet tight deadlines
• The ability to work autonomously, reviewing your work on a regular basis while consistently meeting your objectives
• Committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis
• A proactive approach, working effectively in coordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility in all matters
• Be of the highest calibre: punctual, attentive and competent in adhering to COMPANY’s policies, procedures and working practices
• A flexible approach to working hours and travel; with occasional weekend work required
