NTS Group are currently working with a Multi National Manufacturing company who are now seeking a Head of HR. the role will largely focus on HR strategy and driving organisation changes to best support strategic orientations and performance plans.
This is a generalist role and will cover the broader HR spectrum, but will a focus on areas such as People and Organizational planning, Employee Relations, HR Operations, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Recruitment & Manpower Planning and implementing cost control strategies. Based in Dubai, you will focus largely on Co-leading and implementing Organizational and HR reviews, Defining and proposing HR policies for recruitment, training and development, career management, rewards and communication and Proposing new organisations and optimisation of current ones. You will be required to guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance, as well as setting employee relations practices and guidelines to establish a positive employer / employee relationship and act as source of expertise for both management and employees to provide them with the necessary guidance and interpretation on labour laws and employee grievances. In terms of HR Operations, you will also manage individual performance evaluation process by managers, manage all compensation and benefits policies and implementation, assist managers with day-to-day support in all HR issues and provide line managers with methodology (e.g. team working) and tools, in order to help them efficiently manage their team and organisation. The role will also be involved in Learning and development by defining capability gaps on behavioural and technical development: training, organization development and change interventions, coaching, ensuring effective implementation of the Performance Management Cycle within Company, defining and managing implementation of the training calendar. You will also support the GM in staff and admin cost control and Promote measures to optimize the staff and admin cost.
To be successful, you will have a minimum of 8-10 years of solid HR generalist experience and hold a University Degree (or equivalent) as well as MBA or HR related certification. You will have a minimum of 2 years of UAE experience as well as exposure working with a blue collar workforce. Candidates should ideally have practical experience on Hays Evaluation Methodology, good knowledge of UAE Labour Laws and broad knowledge on all facets of HR. experience and knowledge of HR budgeting and strategizing and working knowledge of policies and procedures is also required. Our client would prefer candidates from a manufacturing (or similar) background, available on short notice ideally.
