Job description / Role
Charterhouse have been exclusively instructed by one of our Global Maritime clients to assist with the recruitment of an HR Specialist. As the HR Specialist, you will support the Middle East business from their Dubai office as well as handle global recruitment for the business. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of Generalist HR experience with a strong focus on recruitment.
This diverse HR role will have a range of responsibilities within the Human Resources function including but not limited to, operations, recruitment and onboarding as well as handling the full employment lifecycle of employees.
As the HR Specialist you will report to the Regional HR Manager whilst being responsible for employee relations and performance management for the Team in Dubai. The suitable candidate will have generalist experience having worked across all areas of HR and is comfortable being the main point of contact for the team, therefore, it is key to be an approachable and personable individual.
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with excellent knowledge of the UAE labour law and a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the Middle East. Strong experience in HR preferably within Oil & Gas, Engineering, Shipping or a similar sector will be beneficial for this role.
The candidate must have a professional and personable approach with attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills. Handling diverse and confidential situations with confidence whilst multi-tasking under demanding deadline is key to succeed in this role. Due to extensive correspondence with the overseas office, candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
