HR & Talent Acquisition Manager

Irwin & Dow

Dubai, UAE

Ref: NP447-1318

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This HR Manager role has a strong bias towards Talent Acquisition and therefore requires those with a minimum of 3-5 years exposure in the same. Based in Dubai, the organisation is a media and events company seeking to develop regional Middle East HR expertise on the ground, as the Head Office is based in the UK. It is therefore expected that you will further develop the current HR policies and procedures and have the generalist knowledge to do so, in addition to an understanding of the regional labour laws, with a strong focus on the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular.

As the first person to join the region within a HR capacity you will be solely responsible for all HR policy and procedural implementations. You will therefore be an organised and self-motivated individual and be fully conversant with all requirements. You will offer your expertise to the Senior Team based in Dubai and work in partnership alongside them to offer advice, guidance and education in all areas of HR from recruitment and market intelligence through to disciplinary and exit interviews. The organisation has currently taken on several new projects and therefore as the launch of the events draws near, the recruitment aspect of the role becomes highly reactionary and you will be working to tight turnaround deadlines. However, as you will be highly experienced you will constantly be working to develop the talent pool of skilled individuals on both a permanent and project basis and interact with these candidates regularly to build relationships and develop the company’s outward PR and brand. Recruiting both active and passive individuals, you will see the candidates thought the entire process with the assistance of the Talent Acquisition Executive and a HR Administrator based here in Dubai. You will therefore develop robust procedures and seek out top talent across a broad range of events, media and marketing expertise.

Requirements

This is not an initial role for a strategic HR Manager- this role requires the successful candidate to be hands on first and then become instrumental in the development of the HR function and wider business as it grows. In addition, this does mean that there are fantastic growth opportunities into a more senior role for the future in order to assist with strategic decisions from a HR capacity. The growth of the role will depend upon your own success and motivation and you will work highly collaboratively with the Senior HR Manager based in the UK, who will provide a high level of support to facilitate your own career growth.

Candidates are expected to currently be in a mid-level or HR Manager & Talent Acquisition role and seeking a highly diverse, hands on challenge, where they can add their own value and expertise for maximum impact. Those with a relevant HR qualification, such as CIPD are considered highly advantageous, alongside excellent communication skills to native English standard.
