Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HSE Engineer to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards in line with company policies and regulations. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment and preventing incidents throughout all phases of operations.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures to ensure safety in the workplace.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE practices and regulations.
• Monitor compliance with local, national and international safety standards and legislation.
• Prepare and maintain regular reports on HSE performance metrics and incidents.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into operational planning and project execution.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in relevant Science or HSE discipline (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue)

Minimum one of the following:
• NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent (Subject to approval by ADNOC Group)
• Any other HSE certifications (considered at ADNOC Group discretion)

Mandatory
• Lead auditor ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 or equivalent.
• Incident Investigation techniques.

Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage.
• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries.

• Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
• Able to lead a team of HSE personnel such as HSE officers, Hygiene officers etc.
• Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements.
• Ability to develop and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.
• Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
• Ability to conduct training/awareness sessions on relevant HSE procedures applicable to the SOW.
• Ability to implement practical H2S control measures.
• Ability to conduct HSE audits and inspections.
• Ability to investigate incidents, identify immediate and root causes.
• Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
