HSE Engineer/Officer

Job description / Role

- Responsible for the day-to-day project implementation of the Safety, Health and Environmental Compliance against the standards and Plans.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate safety documents, records and statistics etc.
- Authorized to prepare the Risk assessment up on commencement of project activities and enforce the suitable control measures, in coordination with Site execution team.
- Supervise the execution of work on site and Issue RMR (Risk Monitor Report) when it’s needed.
- To investigate and report for the incidents, near misses, and related occupational decease including the suitable control measures.
- Ensure the suitability and quality of Tool Box Awareness programs and Induction Training at site.
- Conducts or arranges HSE training and HSE induction for new employees, visitors and sub contractors as applicable.
- Conduct the emergency drills and make aware the work force about the emergency situations and its solutions.
- Attend the regular safety meetings with clients/consultants/ Project management/ QHSE Manager as applicable.
- Required to liaise with managers, Engineers, and other staff at different levels to achieve company objectives.
- Assists in the preparation of Plans, Procedures, permit applications and other regulatory submittals as applicable.

Requirements

- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
- HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH.
- Relevant experience in substation projects such as TRANSCO.
- Good English, Urdu & Hindi
- UAE Driving License
