HSE Manager

Job description / Role

My client is a leading international construction company who specialize in the construction of marine and oil and gas projects throughout the Middle east region. They are currently looking to recruit a senior HSE manager for a new project in the UAE.

The role will be to:
• Ensure compliance by all parties with COMPANY’s HSE requirements and regulations and all relevant legislation and statutory requirements, including all laws, rules and regulations (as amended from time to time) of the governments of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the U.A.E.
• Manage the PC in a manner that achieves HSE performance within the cost and schedule targets set by company.
• To ensure that cost effective solutions in construction engineering are adopted while maintaining quality, constructability, operability and maintainability.
• To ensure that project is technically sound and optimally designed, engineered to appropriate standards and specifications, meeting required product specification and meeting HSE requirements.

Requirements

Candidates should have a degree in health and safety or an engineering/construction related subject and should have a proven background in working as a health and safety manager on large construction projects. Candidates should have experience of EPC projects including dredging, marine and oil and gas an should have experience of projects involving high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide.
