HSE Officer

Job description / Role

• Implement a HSE Management System (HSEMS) that is compliant with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, and monitor compliance with the HSEMS.
• Conduct multiple site HSE inspections, trainings, committee meetings, risk assessments, incident investigations, emergency response exercises, internal QHSE audits and performance reviews.
• Implement HSE operational checks and maintain QHSE documentation, reports and presentations; including corrective and preventive action close outs; in compliance with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
• Report to HSE Manager daily and coordinate implementation of QHSE initiatives, and any other work assignments deemed necessary by HSE dept.
• Support the HSE Manager with the implementation of Company Health and Safety strategy and procedures.
• Ensure the health and safety of all personnel in offices and site.
• Ensure that the A&P complies with the HSE statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Give recommendations for the continuing development of the A&P Safety Management System.
• Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all Health and Safety matters relevant to the work.
• Investigating accidents and recommending actions to be taken in order to prevent re-occurrences.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field
• NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety Programme/
• Five (5) years’ experience in MEP Projects preferably in Airport projects or High rise buildings;
• OHSAS Auditor is a plus
