Employment: Full Time

Job Summary: Carry out the day to day operations of HSE department/ requirements and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety and Environmental management by providing technical support

Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Develop, effectively implement & monitor compliance with the Project site Health & Safety management System and Project site HSE plan.
• Conduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.
• Establish Project HSE Audit program and perform Internal HSE audit on site.
• Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation.
• Conduct job site safety inspections.
• Ensure that all necessary safety equipment are on site.
• Coordinate the issuance of the necessary work permits with the supervisor and subcontractor representatives.
• Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary.
• Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
• Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
• Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training
• Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
• Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
• Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our client (TCAJV) and regulatory agencies.
• Comply with company and HSE procedures and policies.
• Conduct daily and monthly HSE Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed.
• Write, implement, develop and manage HSE Programs, Policies and Procedures
• Perform facility HSE Inspections.
• Ability to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE
• Have knowledge and enforce compliance of Regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHAD, etc.), including company HSE policies and procedures.
• Assist in emergency response and provide first aid treatment.
• Oversee Behaviour Based / Observation Safety Programs.
• Follow Fall Protection program, inspect all fall protection equipment and maintain inspection records.
• Ability to oversee Safety Incentive Programs.
• Assist in administering and maintaining compliance programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, work at Height, etc.
• Liaison with the client to understand expectation.
• Liaison with local governmental authorities and stay informed of changes to local regulations or standards

Requirements

• University Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety management or environmental science or any equivalent degree with minimum of 15 years’ experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position; Technical writing.
• Accredited HSE qualifications (NEBOSH certified)
• Willing to work different shifts.
• Be SPOC for all HSE activities and represent company in coordination meetings with other parties.
• Good interpersonal, communications and presentation skills.
• Based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, work place is in Abu Dhabi
