Job description / Role
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSE Officer to join our dynamic team in the EPC Infrastructure and Utility sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices are adhered to across our projects. As an HSE Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety measures that protect our employees, clients, and the environment, fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees on health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitor compliance accordingly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, advising management on necessary changes to policies or practices.
- Maintain safety documentation, including risk assessments, safety data sheets, and reports for regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles in the EPC or utility sectors.
- Thorough knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage staff at all levels.
- Proficient in conducting investigations and preparing detailed reports.
- Certification as an HSE professional (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001) is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary:
AED
5,000 to 7,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
