Role Summary

Offers the opportunity as an experienced HSE Project Lifecycle Lead to join the team in Dubai, UAE

Essential Responsibilities

Accountable for delivery of HSE related aspects of the project during the lifecycle of the project:

Evaluation Stages

- Supports Review of bids/contracts
- Provides costing for proposals (HSE resources, permitting, monitoring, etc.)
- Determines contractor qualification criteria based upon SOW
- Supports in-depth Due Diligence as needed (site visits)

Design, Commissioning & Startup

- Responsible of Project HSE Resourcing
- Accountable for transitioning operational risk controls into design and planning stages
- Accountable for Contractor selection/approval
- Accountable for Project HSE Plans and Risk Mgmt Programs and HSE

Readiness for mobilization and startup

- Leads OE Focus throughout project lifecycle

Operations

- Maintains HSE oversite for project
- Participates in update meetings, investigations
- Provides IFO SME support to Project HSE
- Captures Lessons Learned from entire Lifecycle of project

Decommissioning / Divestiture

- Responsible for decommissioning HSE Planning and execution activities
- Participates in Vendor Due Diligence activities for Divestiture including contract and schedule reviews

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in HSE, Engineering, Sciences, or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas Industry (operator or drilling contractor and risk management)
- 5+ years of management experience
- HSE Project Management Experience.
- Proficient at managing multiple projects and provides clear direction, disciplined timelines and coordinated schedules.
- Proficient in HAZOPS and HAZID Assessments, Project Risk Assessments and development of Risk Management Plans
- Knowledgeable in Process Safety, barrier management and well control practices
- Knowledgeable of business impacts / technical constraints to ensure business goals are met or exceeded
- Required travel up to 50% possible both domestically and internationally
- Proficient in Microsoft Project or other Project Management Software

Desired Characteristics:

- PMP or related certification preferred
- Effective communicator with all levels in BHGE, partners, customers and contractors
- Global experience working in high demand environments and delivering timely and effective outcomes
- Demonstrates ability to take initiative and make independent decisions
- Strategic thinker who consistently challenges the status quo, assumptions and boundaries with goal to achieve meaningful improvement
- Delivers clear direction, disciplined timelines and coordinated schedules, manages communication mechanisms and review processes

- Capable of commanding respect and allegiance while ensuring trust
- Creates and preserves a sense of ownership of HSE among all employees
- Development and implementation of HSE Audits to ensure Project Compliance
