Overview / Responsibilities
As Wood continues to grow and diversify to meet the demands of an everchanging world, the human resources (HR) function plays a leading role in ensuring we unlock our full potential through the delivery of the 2022-25 HR plan. To support this Wood is looking for a forward thinking & engaging individual to become the Human Resources Manager for the Middle East, working in an agile role across the professional services team and being the deliciated business partner to the SVP of Projects for the region. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Human Resources for the region and is part of the Projects Regional Leadership team, and is accountable for the leading the delivery of the people agenda for the Projects business unit in the Middle East and for the implementation of the HR strategy in support of the business objectives. The key deliverables and objectives of the role are aligned with HR Professional Services Objectives and include:

- Onboarding - in conjunction with Resourcing, review and identify improvements for onboarding and the induction processes for the Middle East region - aligned with other regions to ensure that we foster an early inclusive employee and manager experience
- Workforce Planning - implement quarterly Workforce Planning review aligned to business growth to ensure the HR team can support the business
- Succession Management - support in the Succession Management process
- Agile Working & Kanban (Jirra) - actively engage and manage current Kanban review meetings and Kanban boards for Business Partnering and associated meeting cadence to determine the effectiveness in region - Produce statistics to demonstrate that P&O resources are working in an agile way
- Continue to identify any administrative & transactional tasks which may transfer in agreement with GSS.
- Engagement and Retention - support the creation and implementation of engagement & retention plan for the region, focusing on 4 pillars "Active, Excite, Empower, Reward"
- Reduce Voluntary Turnover - frequent review of Voluntary Labour Turnover statistics for region and drive pro-active action plans aligned with the business
- Stakeholder Engagement - obtain regular feedback from key stakeholders (functionally & business) - through dedicated meeting cadences (both formal and informal). Analyse and identify improvement areas and communicate progress to Stakeholders and P&O
- Data Analytics and Systems - with your team continuously review and improve the quality of HR Oracle People data
- Job Framework - ensure roles are accurately assigned the right grade and job title within Oracle People

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications
- Degree level qualification in HR or business management preferred

Job specific experience:
- Experience in business-focused HR roles within a dynamic organisation
- Experience of managing change, putting high emphasis on co-operation and business partnership across the company
- Good knowledge of people practices and applicable legislative frameworks
- Previous experience of dealing with industrial and employee relations issues
- Working knowledge and experience of delivering HR services into Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia

Knowledge of:
- Business service offering and customer base
- Business performance and how it can deliver and add value to its customers
- Awareness of external factors, competitors and their impact on business strategy and success
- Changing regulatory environment
- Current and future industry trends
- Experience of working with tenders and proposals to enable forward planning and enhance delivery
