Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will support the Director of HR in all decision relating to strategic, organisational, and operational people matters for a luxury hotel property. The role helps to drive organisational performance on the objectives of Quality (through effective recruitment, development, and engagement of capable and motivated team members), Performance (through robust performance management, reward and recognition), and Compliance (through compliant and efficient HR Operations, policies & procedures).

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates

A luxurious alpine retreat in the heart of the desert, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates is a landmark Dubai hotel and one of Kempinski's most unique city properties. It combines exciting shopping, entertainment and dining options with lavish accommodation, including 15 spacious but cozy ski chalets overlooking Ski Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Handling:
- Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes.
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations

Kempinski Recruitment web-site:
- All vacancies are posted.
- The hotel page of the recruitment web-site is up-to-date and well maintained.
- Applicant correspondence is handled in a timely and professional manner and interviews are set up on behalf of management.
- Ensure that all shortlisted candidates are interviewed by HR, head of department, General Manager and /or Hotel Manager

On-boarding:
- All new joiners are personally welcomed and necessary paperwork completed in an organized and efficient manner.
- New joiner starting dates are communicated and coordinated with the respective HODs and the Training department.

Administration:
- Vacation and sick leave are tracked.
- Performance Management (TTTTs) are tracked.
- Employee's anniversaries are tracked and anniversary gifts and cards are personally handed over by the Head or Department, Hotel and/or General Manager.
- Update all internal, regional and corporate reports including turnover trackers, HR dashboard, Arrival, departure, etc.

Maintenance:
- The employee communication boards are up-to-date and attractive.
- The employee locker rooms and cafeteria are looked after.
- Employees are welcomed to the Human Resources office in a warm and friendly manner.

Engagement:
- Assist the director of Human Resources to drive strong colleague engagement through employee communication and creative activities and events, and ensure proactive follow up on engagement survey results and ongoing feedback, handle all employees' relations and grievance issues proactively.

Communication:
- Ensures that corporate and local policies & procedures are communicated and implemented. Maintain strong communication among HR colleagues as with other department.

Exit:
- Every leaver receives an exit interview

Requirements

Competencies:
- At least year (1) years of experience
- Experience in 5 star international luxury hospitality
- Extensive knowledge of various departments in international luxury hotels
