Hydraulic Modeler (ICM Experience)

Job description / Role

Our International Design & Supervision Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Hydraulic Modeler to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on high profile infrastructure and transportation projects in the Emirates. The successful candidate will be experienced in regional water and wastewater utilities projects, drainage design, SuDS and surface water management utilising ICM software and have worked for recognised Consultancy companies previously

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity, employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of computer models to investigate water network issues and investment needs, and generation of outline solutions.
• Analyze data and support engineering solutions to advise clients.
• Support development of reports and other project deliverables.
• Prepare health and safety risk assessments.
• Support tender responses and fee estimates at higher grades.
• Supervise staff and provide professional development guidance.
• Contribute to technical innovation.
• Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment.
• Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations.
• Collect, adjust, and correlate data and recognize discrepancies in results.
• Become familiar with accepted criteria and methods.
• Perform project assignments within the scope of work and guidelines defined by the Project Engineer and within the time and schedule allocations agreed upon by the Group Manager.
• Responsible for coordination of project efforts contributed by GIS personnel working on the same project.

Hydraulic Modeler Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, GIS, Geography, Science etc
• A minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in Hydraulic Modeling with a key focus on regional projects in the UAE and Middle East.
• Experience/awareness of urban drainage modelling within InfoWorks ICM (or CS), GIS packages such as Arc or MapInfo
• Experience in wastewater modelling and distribution networks.
• Building and calibrating network models.
• Using models for planning, operational and solution development.
• Experience with InfoWorks ICM (or CS) and other modelling software.
