Job Description & Summary
A career in Risk Management, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to advance and foster integrity based decision making and conduct by PwC professionals throughout our organisation. You'll focus on promoting and monitoring compliance with applicable external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage PwC's regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk.

Our Risk and Quality team identifies and assists internal teams to mitigate and control client engagement risks. As part of the team, you'll provide advice to business teams within PwC on sound contract provisions, standards and approaches in accordance with PwC policies, principles and standards.

The Quality & Operations Business Partner is part of the Quality & Operations team and operates across all lines of service.  The objective of the Quality & Operations Team is to continually design, implement, provide ongoing support and management of ways in which the Firm can better, more proactively, manage delivery risk.  Increasing the quality of our delivery through bringing a distinctive level of quality experience to our Clients, the Firm and our People. In addition the team is responsible for the day to day and strategic operations of the wider Risk & Quality function, including budgeting, people matters, planning, team working and projects.
 
The role of the Business Partner is to act as the front line for the business. The Business Partner is responsible for providing a smooth, efficient and effective service to the client facing teams in relation to their area of expertise and acting as a sign post to direct teams to the appropriate business partners for other specialist support.
 
The Business Partner at this level must operate with a pragmatic mindset and be solution oriented. Demonstrating an ability to balance risks identified with maintaining a commercial outlook in their approach to answering queries. The role is more than just following policy or processes and includes being flexible in applying business judgement, understanding of the business, its operations, products and services. The Business Partner should have deep relationships with Partners and other senior engagement team members within the business.
 
Financial 
- Support Quality & Operations Team Lead in budget preparation 
- Ensure cost efficiency of all department activities
- Adhere to the Quality & Operations budget

Customer - Quality
- Provides input to the Annual Quality & Operations Team plan (including annual training plan)
- Manages the Engagement Quality Review programme, ensuring a quality delivery to deadline
- Provide support on the Business Review programme
- Owns the Enterprise Risk Management programme
- Owns the Risk Council activities
- Manages the R&Q Leadership team meetings
- Responsible for supporting on continuous review of the programmes to implement improvements and ways in which to better add value to the Businesses
- Consider ways in which efficiencies and greater data outputs can be gained through each of the quality programmes, individually as well as looking at them as a whole and how these can be more digital
- Responsible for supporting on continuous improvements and innovative ideas on all areas of Risk & Quality
- Support in the continuous review and improvement of quality through the engagement lifecycle, identifying ways in which we can deliver a distinctive quality experience, manage delivery risk and make R&Q easier to do business with
- Monitor and make changes as necessary to the role of the Quality Review Partner (QRP)
- Support in the Implementation and regular review of a Governance Framework and / or quality checkpoints including  a potential Quality Plan
- Manages the establishment and running of a small PMO to track all Quality & Operations activities, including planning and scheduling of the possible quality checkpoints for specific engagements
- Leads the annual Partner feedback process
- Leads the reporting to various audiences, MELT, R&Q Leadership
- Lead, be responsible for, conduct and participate in various ad hoc projects assigned by the CRO.

Customer - Operations
- Provides input to the Annual Quality & Operations Team plan (including annual training plan)
- Provides support for various Operations related activities for the wider Risk & Quality team, such as, team activities, ideas in relation to building a more cohesive team and maintaining regular communications
- Be digital in everything we do, consider new ways of operating more digitally
- Act as a Career Coach
- Lead, be responsible for, conduct and participate in various ad hoc projects assigned by the CRO.

Internal Process
- Support in the development of all Risk & Quality policies, procedures, processes and controls
- Engages with Risk Team Leads to roll out and implement policies, procedures etc
- Manage the support team on a day to day basis
- Identify new areas of improvement and process enhancements
- Train and develop team members

Learning & Growth
- Meets with relevant business stakeholders, and LoS R&Q Partners regularly to ensure optimal relationships
- Responsible for the continuing professional development of self and team members 
- Contribute to an environment of teamwork within the R&Q team
- Act as a key resource and liaise with other functional areas of the business, building cross-functional relationships.

 


Requirements

Education
- A professional or academic qualification (degree level or equivalent), or extensive relevant and practical experience. 

 Language
- Fluency in English required, proficiency in Arabic is advantageous

Overall Experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience with 3+ years in a Risk & Quality type role

 Specific Experience
- Client facing experience in the Professional Services industry in a top tier Big 4 firm (or equivalent) required
