Job Description

The Immigration Specialist will coordinate the collection and processing of documents required for inbound and outbound immigration. The Immigration Specialist will ensure compliance with the company policies and processes involving local and international immigration practices and will work with government authorities to complete inbound immigration processes. This role will act as point person for foreign national inquiries for current attorneys, staff and recruits.

- Work with stakeholders to identify and complete work permit, residency, visa and immigration related documentation
- Initiate business visit visas / work visit visa requests through local authorities
- Ensure all paperwork and applications filed with the local immigration authorities, are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Update and maintain internal company information systems with changes in immigration actions according to immigration department guidelines and maintaining visa tracking reports and providing regular updates on the status of deliverables
- Keep internal stakeholders informed of progress and work to identify immigration related solutions
- Act as a point of contact between government authorities and IBM for immigration related matters
- Provide comprehensive, expert guidance to attorneys and staff on all immigration matters throughout every stage of the process and provide consultation and guidance to pre-offer candidates
- Interact with internal and external recruiters, HR representatives, and business managers to manage and coordinate immigration processes for potential new hires and existing foreign national employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations

- Arabic & English Fluency
