Job description / Role
A very large and diverse group of companies’ offering commercial financing for property development and acquisitions across industries such as e-commerce and food and beverage are seeking an additional team member with legal experience. With additional offices in Europe and Hong King they are expanding their Dubai team further with a Legal Assistant role to support the In-House Legal Counsel.
Within this team of 2 you will work extremely closely with the In-House Legal Cousel to review, proof read and amend all contracts across the diverse portfolio of clients they have established. As the majority of clients are based overseas you will requested to research the relevant laws on an international scale to ensure all due diligence is performed prior to contract finalisation. The Legal Assistant will also be involved with attending any court proceeding alongside the Legal Counsel in order to ensure all legal matters are finalise in a timely manner. Additionally, there is a new HR Manager in post whom will require legal assistance in adapting and collating all HR policies and procedures as well as assisting with governmental administration and face to face interactions at the Ministry of Labor. This is an extremely hands on role and will give the successful applicant the opportunity to work across a diverse sector to further develop their legal skills across all areas of UAE and international law.
The organisation also works a 6 day week, including Saturdays, so only those with flexibility to accommodate this will be considered. This is a great opportunity to further develop your legal skills on a global scale and gain exposure in a large and diverse group of companies.
Candidates wishing to apply should possess a relevant Law qualification (LLB as a minimum) and have been exposed to a Legal Assistant role, however those with time served as an Intern will also be considered. You will be proactive and adaptable to ensure you give your upmost support to the In-House Legal Counsel and be able to work collaboratively with all departments, including interaction with the offices overseas. Candidates should also possess strong communication skills in the English language, with Arabic being a desired (but not essential) addition.
