Employment: Full Time

Supporting the Client Services Director, the position of In- house Legal Assistant will provide exceptional growth potential for the most suitable candidate and you will be joining a highly motivated and award-winning humanitarian organisation. Supporting communities with infrastructure and well-being projects across the globe, this client provides skilled rapid emergency response to countries in need. Therefore, the position of the Legal Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the compliance and due diligence of all jurisdictions, from document collation to contract negotiations and mitigation of legal risk.

Identifying and researching applicable regulations in all the relevant jurisdictions, the role will cover a multiple of disciplines including employment, labour, corporate, data protection and tax laws. You will build strong relationships with the existing legal expertise on the ground and oversee the compliance aspects to ensure they are well educated and up to date with current changes and regulations. You will also be instrumental in the management and set up of new location entities and providing due diligence and strong research capabilities to ensure all legal reequipment are in place and provide robust support to all involved; which includes partners, sub-contractors, suppliers and clients. Part of your role will also include client contract negotiation, closure, management and extension and advising teams in the field with regards to the same and any ongoing matters relating to commercial employment and contract service agreements. Alongside the Client Services Director you will very much be seen as the legal expertise within the organisation.

Drafting and negotiating NDAs, Service Agreements, MoUs, RFPs and tender bids you will coordinate and administer the full legal administrative processes and take responsibility for all of the company’s intellectual property. In addition, as there are constantly large volumes of highly confidential data in process across all global locations, it is the responsibility of the legal team to ensure complete awareness of data protection requirements and ensure effective management and tracking is in place.

Requirements

This is an excellent position for an ambitious and passionate legal professional to expand their knowledge on a global scale, within a highly motivated and dedicated organisation. You will therefore posses a legal degree and a minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience within the Middle East region. You will be accustomed to a fast paced and multi-faceted environment where every day brings new challenges and the opportunity to develop further. Your standard of communication in the English language should be exceptionally high and to native standard. Those with additional Arabic language fluency are also highly desirable.
