Job description / Role
The purpose of this role is to understand the Fisher paint requirements and strictly follow the same to achieve the highest quality product finish.
* Blasting and Painting of control valves, actuators & components, record the same in the Paint Log
* Control the curing oven for the proper drying of the painted valves and components
* Mask the parts for blasting and painting
* Operate, Clean and maintain the blast and paint equipments, accessories and the rooms
* Perform the paint inspection and record the same
* Participate in the new paint system developments and the project needs
* Coordinate with the assembly and stores leader on the blast/paint requirements
* Prompt the assembly and store leader (Kanban) when the paint load drops
* Follow procedures as per QA Manual
* Ensure paint applied is in accordance with job card prior to final assembly.
* Capable of supervising the other painters and contract people involved in masking and blasting
Requirements
You will have at least 10 years' experience as an industrial painter and be familiar with various paint systems and applications. You should have an industrial trade certificate and have completed an apprenticeship.
If you have previous experience with valves it would be an advantage.
