Our newest opportunity is for an Infrastructure Operations Leader to join our award-winning team based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Principal / Operations will work closely with other Principles and the Managing Director to monitor overall project status and commercial position of all projects within KEO Infrastructure. The position will communicate with KEO Infra, Finance and other KEO project managers and executives regarding project status and progress, as required. The role requires the ideal candidate to represent the division with clients from proposal submission stage through contract award, project execution, and close-out, as required. As a member of the KEO Infra Management Team, the position also provides a key contribution to the formulation, development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include:

- Working with the Managing Director to develop, implement, and maintain both commercial and operational management procedures across the division.
- Ensuring that project managers follow appropriate project management standards and practices, in accordance with KEO and divisional project management policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that project managers and Infra leaders remain up to date in project invoicing to the client.
- Ensuring that project managers and Infra leaders remain up to date in both client and internal project reporting.
- Ensuring full implementation of corporate and divisional QA/QC standards.
- Monitoring divisional project performance indicators and produce regular project performance metrics reports for management review.
- Working with project managers and Infra leaders to identify and pro-actively resolve internal and external [out-of-scope work requests, variation opportunities, etc.] project performance issues.
- Organising regular project review meetings for all active projects.
- Improving the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of KEO Infra' development strategy; specifically, in support of management reporting, information flow and management, business process, general project and financial management and organizational planning.
- Attending and organising regular meetings with the Chief Financial Officer, KEO Infra Managing Director and Financial Controller around fiscal planning.
- Working with the Managing Director to manage the overall KEO Infra divisional budget and forecasting.
- Organising and overseeing KEO Infra invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Relieving the KEO Infra Managing Director / Head of Departments when required
- Developing, maintaining and monitoring all KEO Infra management procedures, recommends and implements improvements to systems, inclusive of developing specific KEO Infra QMS Systems and manages progression toward ISO 9001 certification
- Overseeing and reporting to the Managing Director on KEO Infra monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts for financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. Oversees short and long-term financial and managerial reporting.
- Overseeing day to day processing of accounts receivable and payable, producing reports as requested by KEO Infra' MD and/or KEO Senior Management.
- Performing other related tasks as directed by KEO Infra Managing Director or KEO executives.
- Providing formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.
- Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
- Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
- Demonstrating experience and capability in managing commercial and contractual matters on complex, fast-track, projects from contract award through project completion and close out.
- Proven ability to manage complex relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors and maintain positive relationships.
- Ability to prepare project budgets.
- Knowledge of both main-contract and subcontract preparation, documentation, management, and administration; experience in contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of programs and resource planning.
- Ability to understand, identify and assess project risk.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written communication.
- Organising, leading, influencing and motivating people.
- Detailed understanding of Infrastructure consultancy business functions.
- Excellent knowledge of design, production, construction techniques, procedures, industry codes and standards.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, schedule tasks, people and resources in order meet identified time frames and standards.
- Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to team delivery.
- Highly developed knowledge of consultancy industry commercial frameworks with the ability to prepare and control budgets and manage contracts and invoices.

Requirements

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 12 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
- Masters preferred.
- Project Management Professional certification or equivalent.
- Chartered engineer certification from an internationally recognized engineering professional body is required.
- ICE membership at Associate Member level, or the equivalent thereof, is desirable
- Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Ability to calculate complex figures.
- Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.
- Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to effectively "multi-task".
- Excellent numerical ability.
- Possess professional registration, licensure or chartership with an internationally recognized professional association in Infrastructure design.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite and discipline-specific software.
