Job description / Role
Our client, one of the largest banking organisations in the Middle East Region, are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Operations Manager to join their Dubai office at a very exciting time as they undergo a large digital transformation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operational effectiveness and performance of their infrastructure systems across the Middle East, as well as ensuring the 24/7 service availability and resilience of all platforms to drive the service performance across the board.
Role:
* End-to-end accountability for infrastructure service availability and performance across the enterprise by integrating the application and infrastructure services
* Assume operational responsibility for various departments including network, security, storage, backup, database, middleware plus various server environments including Windows, Linux and AIX
* Establish, maintain and improve infrastructure recoverability and resilience
* Lead infrastructure design and delivery teams in order to push bank forward by embracing new ways of working
* Support the development of the operational strategy for the unit
Requirements
Responsibilities:
* Extensive experience working within IT Operations in large and complex, high availability environments
* Expertise in IT Service Management, with a core operations competency
* Experience working to a global operating model essential
* Functional and technical understanding of critical application systems and infrastructure services
* Leader with strategic mindset, and experience in coordinating, facilitating and influencing senior management
* IT-based Bachelors degree or equivalent
