Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Mott MacDonald is looking for an Inspector - Mechanical to assist the supervision team on a large sewage pumping station.

Key responsibilities and duties:
* Provide professional support to the project management team helping to ensure high quality service delivery and a coordinated response to Client,
* Inspect and monitor Contractor's work to ensure that construction is in accordance with approved design, drawings, method statements and programme,
* Check if plant, equipment and materials delivered to site are as per approved submittals and are properly handled and stored,
* Attend site testing and commissioning and assist in preparation of reports,
* Review Contractor's submissions,
* Check measure of work done and materials at site,
* Review and comment on 'as-built' drawings and O&M manuals produced by Contractor,
* Report back as necessary to the senior engineers,
* Participate in contract administration,
* Observe site safety practices.

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering,
* Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, 5 of which will have been in construction supervision of water and wastewater pump stations,
* Experience within a consultancy environment and in Middle East is preferred,
* Familiarity with applicable international standards,
* Good keyboard skills and IT literacy (ideally Word, Excel and Access),
* Good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to details.
