Installation operation and maintenance engineer

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, replacement, and maintenance of AMI smart gas residential and commercial gas meters at residential buildings, restaurants, and commercial facilities.
• Assist in EVC (Electronic Volume Corrector) installation, configuration, and testing including base pressure/temperature and flow verification under supervision.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain PRMS equipment including pressure regulators, valves, filters, and associated instrumentation.
• Conduct leak detection, tightness testing, pressure monitoring, and functional checks of gas meters and associated systems.
• Support the calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of field instruments and measurement devices.
• Follow site work instructions, method statements, and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures, always ensuring safe operations.
• Maintain accurate site logs, maintenance records, and asset documentation under supervision of site supervisor.
• Report equipment malfunctions, abnormal readings, and HSE hazards promptly to supervisors or engineers.
• Assist in emergency response activities including gas leak isolation, purging, and safety shutdowns.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and care of tools, equipment, and meters, maintaining operational readiness.
• Cooperate with QC and HSE personnel during inspections, audits, and testing to ensure compliance with standards.
• Participate in on-the-job training and skill development programs to enhance technical proficiency and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or related technical discipline.
• Gas-related training or certifications are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of AMI smart meters, EVCs, and PRMS operations preferred.

Experience

• 2-5 years of field experience in city gas distribution utilities or oil & gas operations.
• Hands-on experience in meter installation, maintenance, and gas distribution system operations is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with ADNOC HSE procedures, PTW systems, and technical documentation.
