Job description / Role
Our client, a leading company in the UAE, is looking for an Intellectual Property Associate to join their growing team in Dubai.
The main purpose of the role is to handle all IP portfolio and Trademark management matters, to oversee the trademark prosecution, registration, searches, filling applications and assist in advisory work. In addition, to advice on copyright, advise clients on strategy for IP protection, supervise and advise in respect of Trademark and IP administrative proceedings, including anti-counterfeiting. You will also be responsible for handling all transactional work, communicating with external service providers, handling all IP due diligence and audit projects and finally assisting with overseeing patent prosecution services and all contentious and non-contentious matters.
Requirements
In order to apply for this role, the successful candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ IP experience within the UAE market, be western educated with a professional and personable attitude and the ability to build strong relationships, in addition to a willingness to help in the development of the organisation. Excellent attention to detail and strong drafting skills are essential, as well as the ability to think outside the box and carry out a high level of customer service at all times. Fluency in Arabic is preferred but not essential.
