Interior Architect (Site Supervision)

Job description / Role

Our Multi National Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced, Site Interior Designer / Architect experienced in site supervision to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Site Interior Designer on new build retail, commercial and mixed use build projects in the UAE and ideally have worked for a recognised design or engineering consultancy company previously,

This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 5 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

- In this role, you will lead interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality execution and client satisfaction.
- Develop innovative and functional interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects
- Oversee on-site implementation of design plans, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any challenges
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and present design solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends, sustainable practices, and new materials.

- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on site supervision
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SketchUp, Revit advantageous
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, particularly in Dubai
- Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Experience in sustainable design practices.
