Interior Designer

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities

* Interpret and develop client briefs to deliver tailored interior design solutions.
* Manage end-to-end design projects, from concept development to execution.
* Prepare feasibility reports and design proposals based on client objectives.
* Establish project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
* Develop mood boards to present and visualize design concepts.
* Source materials, products, and suppliers in alignment with client budgets.
* Oversee project progress to ensure alignment with design goals and client satisfaction.
* Prepare bills of quantities adhering to approved design concepts and budgets.
* Generate furniture plans and elevations with intelligent graphics on AutoCAD
* Maintain exceptional client service standards, proactively addressing client needs.
* Stay updated on product and service knowledge to provide informed recommendations.
* Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to deliver high-quality design outcomes.
* Conduct research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of design trends.
* Participate in project meetings, training sessions, and client tours.
* Present innovative designs, materials, and finishes, including samples and pricing, to the team.

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
* Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in residential and retail interior design.
* Strong understanding of design trends, innovation, and spatial planning.
* Skilled in translating concepts into cohesive design solutions, considering both aesthetics and functionality.
* Demonstrated experience presenting to clients with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
* Business acumen with a strong awareness of cost versus revenue implications in design.
* Proven teamwork and coordination skills with suppliers and contractors for successful project execution.
* Proficient in tracking site progress and ensuring material quality standards.
* Expertise in furniture design and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment).
* Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and MS Office. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and SketchUp is advantageous.
* Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
