Job description / Role
Interior Designer - Commercial & Hospitality
Can manage a team of 2-3 junior to designers on a medium to large size project. Able to gain trust with clients during presentation and on-going projects. Is a problem solver and can nurture the clients’ confidence during difficulties with determination and professionalism. Conscious and proactive in improving the environment for the better through design.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Work in all phases of a project from planning/concept through to construction administration.
• Participant in design presentations to clients and project stakeholders.
• Do presentation and correspond to clients during bidding and projects meetings.
• Able to use professionalism and designer’s skill to solve complex problems.
• Foster confidence in team mates and provide support during difficulties.
• Undertaking design project from concept to completion
• Interpreting and translating customer needs into rough plans
• Defining project requirements and schedule during the “brief”
• Mentor or direct the work of less experienced staff.
Requirements
• Interior Design or Architecture education background with a minimum of Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 5* Hotel hospitality and commercial experience
• 3 - 5 years of Interior Design experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Experienced in working with clients with good understanding of the entire design process from pre-design to construction supervision.
• Excellent hand sketch and knowledge of construction details.
• Passionate about design and able to improve the way people live and work with creativity.
