Job description / Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer/Sales Representative to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for utilizing your design expertise to provide exceptional interior design services to our clients while actively promoting and selling our products and services. As an integral part of our sales team, you will contribute to achieving sales targets and maintaining strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will possess a passion for design, excellent communication and sales skills, and the ability to create innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs.
1. Provide exceptional interior design services to clients, including residential and commercial spaces, while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
2. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and vision for their spaces and translate these into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
3. Prepare detailed design proposals, including 2D and 3D renderings, mood boards, material samples, and cost estimates, to present to clients and facilitate sales.
4. Actively engage in sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, and building a strong pipeline of potential clients.
5. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase our offerings and explain the benefits and features to clients.
6. Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue generation.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and other industry professionals to foster repeat business and referrals.
8. Stay updated on the latest design trends, industry advancements, and competitor offerings to provide valuable insights and maintain a competitive edge.
9. Collaborate with the design and sales teams to develop marketing strategies, promotional materials, and campaigns to support sales initiatives.
10. Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand professional networks and promote the company's brand.
1. Proven experience as an Interior Designer with a track record of successful sales in the interior design industry.
2. Strong creative and technical skills in space planning, furniture arrangement, color schemes, and materials selection.
3. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand client needs, build rapport, and convey design concepts effectively.
5. Strong sales and negotiation abilities, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
6. Knowledge of current market trends, industry standards, and building codes.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. A bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
10. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules and participate in events as required.
