We are now seeking an exceptional Internal Audit Manager to join our award winning team based within our Abu Dhabi Office.

This critical role will be responsible for overseeing internal operating controls, processes and practices. The will recommend changes and enhancements to existing policies and controls to ensure they are current, adequate, functional and utilized in accordance with standards established.

Paramount to success within this varied role will include;
• Planning and performing operational and financial audits.
• Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
• Developing testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls.
• Documenting the results of the evaluations.
• Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
• Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
• Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process.
• Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement.
• Identify business process risks.
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
• Maintain open communication with management and audit committee / Board of Directors.
• Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum.
• Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
• Maintain continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision the successful applicant will bring a minimum of 10 years post graduate experience partnered with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent.

In-depth knowledge of GAAP guidelines and IRFS rules and regulations with knowledge of Sarbane Oxley and other appropriate Control Frameworks is required.

Preference will be given to applicants with previous international experience in a similar industry environment, combined with knowledge of Deltek Vision and Big Four exposure (EY, PWC, KPMG, Deloitte or similar).
