Internal Audit Senior Manager

Job description / Role

Purpose: Assist the Group Head of Audit to develop and execute the Internal Audit Plan, taking a lead in supervising day to day fieldwork. To contribute to the function by identifying risks associated with business objectives and to evaluate controls to mitigate those risks to improve the effectiveness of the Governance, Risk Management and control processes.

Responsibilities:
- Management and coordination of the Internal Audit resource pool and ownership and delivery of audits.
- Assigning audits to team members that leverage skills and expertise, play to team strengths or meet development needs
- Agreeing activity schedules and managing the staff planning board to ensure full resource utilisation throughout the year
- Deliver quality audits to agreed timelines, overcoming obstacles, proactively managing project risks, finding solutions and taking initiatives to meet commitments.
- Take steps to understand the business, key drivers and risk context
- Regularly engage with senior leaders in the business to understand their needs and gain their perspective
- Influence and communicate effectively, demonstrating strategic thinking and commercial acumen
- Develop a partnership and trust relationship with senior leaders in the business. Ensure that we work with the business as one team, in cooperation and in consultation with auditees.

The end-to-end audit process. This includes the quality and timeliness of:
- Audit Planning
- Fieldwork, data analysis and audit work papers
- Reporting

Passport/Visa: Must have an International passport as role requires 50% travel, so you must be able to get a visa in less than a week.

Requirements

Requires at least 10 years of combined financial and IT audit experience in large global organisation or a Big 4 Internal Audit/Business Assurance Service Line, Big 4 audit background, at any stage in career, is strongly desired

Proven track record of ownership and delivery of large and complex audits in a corporate environment. The candidate may also have experience in advisory/consulting.

Business Audit experience - Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in business cycles and more bespoke commercial reviews

IT Audit experience - Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in all aspects of information and cyber security, application controls, application development (SDLC), IT infrastructure controls, including general operations and architecture

Data Analysis - Proficient user and driver of data analysis tools and techniques

Happy to relocate from International countries if you have all the above requirements and hold an International passport
